This is a diploma program that requires fewer credits and less time to complete than an undergraduate program. Both diploma and degree programs include office training and computer skills, practical terminology and coding, insurance payment processing and electronic health record (EHR) management. The undergraduate study includes practical management skills complemented by training in medical billing and coding, office procedures, anatomy and physiology, and healthcare law. Upon completion of this healthcare administration degree, students will be eligible to seek entry-level positions in medical practices, clinics or hospitals, such as practice administrators, patient account clerks or similar administrative positions.
