Headquarters of Trade Me are situated at Wellington and its corporate offices are present in Christchurch and Auckland. In 2006, Sam Morgan Trade Me to Fairfax Media who is the current owner of the website. The company was publicly listed as a separate entity on 13 December 2011 with the name “Trade Me Ltd.”.
